1. Add the house

2. Add who lives there
Invite a current tenant, or read applications. You accept or refuse. Credit checks, if you want them, stay off this website.
3. Record how they pay you
Your IBAN and a payment reference. They pay your bank. You mark rent received. They never pay SmartRent.

Not a letting agent
We do not find tenants, hold keys, or let on your behalf. You can publish a listing; you still choose the applicant.
Not a bank or deposit agent
Rent and deposits go to you. We keep a record of what you told us happened.

Common questions
Is SmartRent a letting agent?
No. It is software you operate. We do not find tenants as a service, show people around, or hold keys.
Who receives the rent?
You do. Tenants pay your account by bank transfer using instructions you record here. Direct Debit, if you use it, names you as creditor. SmartRent does not collect or hold rent.
Does SmartRent submit RTB registrations?
No. You file on the RTB website in your own name. This software stores templates and reminders only. It is not legal advice.
Is it free for tenants?
Yes. People who rent from you do not pay SmartRent. Landlords subscribe.
