GDPR Compliance
How we process personal data as a software provider (not a letting agent)
Controller: SmartRent.ie, Dublin, Ireland. privacy@smartrent.ie
Lawful bases: contract (providing the software), legitimate interests (security, product improvement of logged-in features), consent (analytics cookies), and legal obligation (financial records).
Processors: Railway (hosting), Stripe (SaaS subscription and optional Connect payouts), Resend (email), OpenAI (optional AI features you invoke), GoCardless (optional Direct Debit where you are the creditor). We do not sell your data.
Retention: account data while the account is active; inactive accounts after 2 years; financial records up to 7 years where required.
You may complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie) if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard protocols.
